We assist clients with filing for Medicaid, Social Security Disability benefits, SSI and Medicare Part D Prescription Plans.
Our staff are certified counselors (CAC) for the Affordable Healthcare program and work closely with Disability Determination Services to gather medical evidence in support of clients’ disability claims. We also assist in filing appeals on behalf of our clients who have been denied disability benefits.
We provide assistance to our clients in completing applications for financial assistance with our local hospitals, food stamps, etc. As SOAR (SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access and Recovery) representatives, our goal is to help those that are disabled and homeless through an expedited process for their disability claim.
We work closely with all five local Departments of Social Services in the New River Valley to ensure that our clients apply for every benefit to which they are entitled. Our staff also provide clients with other community resource contact information as necessary.
