The New River Valley Community Services (NRVCS) Board of Directors has named Chris Taylor as the agency’s new Executive Director. The decision was made at the board’s meeting on Thursday, February 27. Mr. Taylor assumes the responsibilities of his new position beginning Monday, March 3.

Taylor is a veteran employee of NRVCS with 19 years of experience working in various capacities at the agency. He most recently served as Senior Director of Human Resources.

“We are pleased to announce this appointment,” notes Cheri Warburton, Chair of the NRVCS Board. “Chris brings tremendous leadership, energy, and creativity to the organization’s programs – along with vast experience and a deep sense of commitment to the communities that make up the New River Valley.”

“In addition, we would like to sincerely thank Melanie Adkins for filling the role as Interim for the last few months, which ensured the agency remained on track and furthered the development of agency plans,” Warburton adds.
