Building Strong Families (BSF) incorporates information about how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES), sometimes referred to as trauma, affect brain development and behaviors-which can often have a lifelong impact- but the good news is that with support kids are incredibly resilient!

BSF is an exciting 8-week program for parents with children ages 6-12…and it’s totally free!

Participating families are treated to a free meal each week and free childcare is provided for children under the age of 6. Plus there will be an opportunity to receive weekly prizes/incentives for attendance and participation!

BSF will give you skills to achieve a fuller, more satisfying family life using the Love and Logic curriculum. Each week, parents will be discussing the following topics:

  1. Parenting Styles
  2. Family Meetings
  3. The Value of Choices
  4. Punishment vs. Consequences
  5. Shared Control
  6. Empathy and Reflective Listening
  7. The Value of Routines
