Summer training wraps up!
Volunteers complete the final evaluation of training after a grueling three-week run. Welcome to our new volunteers and we hope to see more of you turn out for training in the fall!



Kickin' it at the volunteer appreciation picnic
Volunteers and staff got involved in an intense game of kickball during the annual volunteer appreciation picnic on April 22. Check back soon for a link to additional photos from the event.

"CoolKidz" take first place!
The "CoolKidz" team, consisting of Raft volunteers and staff, captured first place in their division at the NRVCS volleyball tournament on April 21. Congratulations to all of our team members for their winning performance!

"Run for Raft"
Participants in the first-ever "Run for Raft" make their way along the course. Thanks again to everyone who participated or supported this event. Keep watching for a link to additional photos from the event.

School's out!
Spring 2007 Raft trainees graduated with flying colors recently. Special thanks to these dedicated individuals for taking the time and effort to help those in need. And, before you think that they all take themselves too seriously, check out the photo below!

The newest volunteers with the Raft Crisis Hotline recently completed training, enabling them to begin taking calls and providing support to residents of the New River Valley. Congratulations and welcome aboard!

Raft Cookout
Raft volunteers were treated to a cookout on Saturday, April 22 at Hand-In-Hand Park in Blacksburg. The event was held in conjunction with National Volunteer Appreciation Week. Click here for more photos
