How do I contact Raft?
If you or someone you know is in need of the services provided at Raft please call (540) 961-8400. Raft is available 4pm-8am Monday through Friday and 24 hours a day on the weekends.  From 8am-4pm on weekday, phone operators in Access will take calls.

ECO: An Emergency Custody Order is a court order that allows a mentally unstable person, who is refusing an evaluation and/or voluntary hospitalization, to be taken into police custody where he/she evaluation will is evaluated for psychiatric hospitalization. ECO’s are issued by the local magistrate’s office. An ECO is important suicide information because in most instances, if the suicidal person you are concerned about is unwilling to get help, it is usually the only alternative you as a friend/family member have to make. ECO’s are issued if there is firsthand knowledge pertaining to any of the following criteria:

-  Imminent danger to self
-  Imminent danger to others
-  Inability to care for self

If you have a friend or family member you are concerned about, please call us at 961-8400 and our clinicians can help you determine if an ECO is necessary.  If you feel confident that an ECO is necessary, please contact your local magistrate:
