Local officials adopt "Recovery" proclamations

Boards of Supervisors in Pulaski, Floyd, Giles and Montgomery counties have each adopted resolutions declaring September at National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month in their communities. Click here to read Pulaski County's proclamation.

Founding NRVCS board member passes
Mary Jane Dudley, one of the founding members of the NRVCS Board of Directors, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2007 at the age of 79. Mrs. Dudley, who resided in Dublin, was an active and dedicated member of the community. We offer our deepest sympathies to her friends and loved ones in this difficult time.

Services will be conducted this afternoon at Dublin United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Dudley requested that memorials be made to Dublin United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 577, Dublin, VA, 24084.

Community Award recipient
Arnetta Turner (left) with Ballard (WV) Volunteer Fire and Rescue, accepts a community award from NRVCS Family Resource Specialist Mary Talbert. The Ballard volunteers were recognized for supporting children and families served through NRVCS' Early Intervention program. The annual NRVCS community awards were presented May 23 in Radford.
