NRVCS' new Giles Clinic to open Monday, July 16

Pearisburg, VA - New River Valley Community Services’ (NRVCS) Giles Clinic will be moving to a new location effective Monday, July 16, 2012. The new facility is located at 705 Wenonah Avenue in Pearisburg and will offer a larger, more professional appearance, along with more parking compared to the old 601 Church Avenue location.

Residents and community stakeholders should note that the hours of operation will remain the same for now, along with the clinic’s telephone (921-2238) and fax (921-1028) numbers.

The clinic’s new location will continue to provide short-term outpatient counseling services and limited psychiatric services for both children and adults. NRVCS officials add that the new space will also be more easily accessible for individuals with mobility issues.

Current hours of operation at the Giles Clinic are: Monday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Tuesday 8:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Wednesday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; and Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. The Giles Clinic is closed on Fridays.

The Giles Clinic is just one of several facilities operated by NRVCS. The agency provides care in the areas of mental health, intellectual disabilities, substance abuse, and prevention throughout the New River Valley.
