Permanent Part-Time Van Driver
(Community Transit) |
TYPE OF WORK:
Permanent Part-Time
position transporting and assisting clients to and from
various destinations throughout the New River Valley
and surrounding areas. Duties also include performing
vehicle inspections, record keeping, and providing safe
and courteous service. Hours vary Monday through
Friday. Evening hours also expected.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent
with considerable experience in operating vans and bus
type vehicles. Must possess a valid Virginia Driver’s
License and acceptable driving record. Experience
handling wheelchairs and assisting the physically
challenged is a plus.
Ability to maintain
effective working relationships with others required.
STARTING SALARY:
$8.38 per hour.
HOURS: 20 per week.
