INFORMATION SYSTEMS DEVELOPER

TYPE OF WORK: Position is responsible for the design and development of agency-wide software applications in various programming languages within behavioral health programs and administrative units. This position serves an important role in implementation of CMHC/MIS features and modules including customization of data elements and file formats, data process design, and development of an electronic clinical record.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Science with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or the equivalent combination of experience and/or training. Strong programming and/or scripting experience. Comfortable with most UNIX commands/utilities. Understanding of Local Area Networking concepts. Highly motivated and self-directed; able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. The ability to communicate technical ideas and concepts effectively, both orally and in writing.

PREFERRED
-Experience in Windows Networking. Understanding of the administration of a SQL database.  Working technical knowledge of the programming language PHP. Strong inter-personal and communication skills; basic project management skills, training users in complex topics, making presentation to an internal audience, and interacting positively with upper management. An independent problem solver with self-direction.

STARTING SALARY: $
27,499 - $37,499 (dependent on experience/qualifications)
