TYPE OF WORK:
Responsible
for providing telephone and walk-in support
to Agency employees in the use of Agency
technology. Maintains computer inventory
including peripheral devices. Conducts
research on hardware and software products
to justify recommendations and to support
purchasing efforts. Seeks cutting-edge
information on technology trouble-shooting
and problem-solving.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A two-year
degree in Computer Science or Management
Information Science or at least 2 years of
relevant experience. Experience with
personal computers and Microsoft Windows
operating systems and Microsoft Windows
Networking required. Ability to
troubleshoot, replace hardware, and correct
software problems required. Certifications
equivalent to CompTIA A+ and/or Microsoft
Network Professional Preferred. Experience
with conducting formal software and hardware
trainings preferred.
STARTING SALARY: Commensurate with
experience.
