TYPE OF WORK:
Position
is
responsible for evaluation and management of
database resources across the agency while
ensuring high levels of data quality. This
individual is responsible for the design,
execution and distribution of data reports
from enterprise systems and the design,
installation, monitoring, maintenance, and
performance-tuning of both development and
production databases.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED- A four
year degree in Computer Science, Information
Systems, Statistics or related field with at
least 2 years of relevant experience or the
equivalent combination of experience and/or
training. Experience with data management
techniques is required. Programming
experience with a least one scripting
language is preferred.
Thorough
knowledge and understanding of comprehensive
Management Information Systems. Knowledge
of MySQL/MSSQL architecture, security,
backup and recovery procedures, performance
tuning, and troubleshooting. Experience
working within UNIX/Linux
environment. Proficiency with Microsoft
Office. Ability to resolve problems and
perform thorough, independent research. The
ability to communicate technical ideas and
concepts effectively, both orally and in
writing. The ability to work independently,
as well as part of a team. Must be highly
motivated and self-directed; able to handle
multiple tasks simultaneously.
STARTING SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
