CHILD & FAMILY SERVICES PSYCHIATRIC CASE MANAGER

TYPE OF WORK: Works closely with child psychiatrists in providing on-going assessment, education and support to youth/families involved in psychiatric services.  Responsible for directly assisting parents with their child’s medication compliance in conjunction with NRVCS child psychiatrists.

QUALIFICATIONS:
LPN or Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology or human service related field.  Candidate must also have at least two years experience in a setting working with individuals with emotional, mental health, intellectual disabilities and/or substance use disorders.

DUTIES: Assists agency child psychiatrists with psychiatric evaluations and medication follow-ups to include providing on-going assessment of psychiatric needs; checks each youth’s vital signs, and height and weight; coordinates other needed services for youth including laboratory testing; provides medication education to parents; and consults with agency nursing staff on an as needed basis. 
 
  
STARTING SALARY:
$31,228 + based on experience
