TYPE OF WORK:
Works closely
with child psychiatrists in providing
on-going assessment, education and support
to youth/families involved in psychiatric
services. Responsible for providing case
management services to children and
adolescents under the direct care of NRVCS
child psychiatrists as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s
degree in education, social work, psychology
or human service related field with at least
three years experience in a setting working
with individuals with emotional, mental
health, mental retardation and/or substance
use disorders required.
DUTIES: Assists agency child
psychiatrists with psychiatric evaluations
and medication follow-ups to include
providing on-going assessment of psychiatric
needs; checks each youth’s vital signs, and
height and weight; coordinates other needed
services for youth including laboratory
testing; provides medication education to
parents; and consults with agency nursing
staff on an as needed basis.
SALARY RANGE:
$30,318 -
$47,296
