MENTAL HEALTH PARAPROFESSIONAL

TYPE OF WORK: This position works with a team to provide Mental Health Case Management, Psycho-social Rehabilitation, Mental Health Supports, and/or Intensive Community Treatment to clients with serious mental illness, substance use disorders and/or intellectual disabilities under the supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional.  Works to assure services and resources are coordinated among providers as needed to help individuals served live and function optimally in the community.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in education, social work, psychology or human services related field or at least four years of experience employed as a Service Provider or Medication Aide in a Community Services Board or equivalent setting in another state which involved providing direct services with individuals with mental illnesses or an Associate’s Degree in human services related field (or equivalent accredited college credits earned toward a Bachelor’s degree in human services related field) and at least one year of experience providing direct services to persons with a mental illness or emotional disturbances, or an unrelated Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree and at least three years of applicable clinical experience or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia with at least one year of clinical experience. Certification in CPR and First Aid, possession of a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record is required.

STARTING SALARY: $27,499
