ADULT & FAMILY SERVICES DAY SERVICES STAFF:
DIRECT CARE PROVIDERS, SERVICE PROVIDERS & MEDICATION AIDES

TYPE OF WORK: Primary responsibilities include providing direct services such as personal care assistance and life skills training for individuals attending day programs and/or living in community settings. Works directly with individuals, family members, other care givers, and other staff to ensure appropriate services are delivered in a safe and efficient manner. AFS Direct Care Provider, AFS Service Provider and AFS Medication Aide positions may provide assisted living supports, residential, day support, respite, personal assistance, and/or crisis supervision services.

QUALIFICATIONS:
All positions must have the education and/or experience in a related field that demonstrates the ability to perform the assigned tasks; high school diploma or equivalent; a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; and experience supporting individuals with disability is preferred. Will train for Certification in CPS, First Aid, and DBHDS ID Residential Services Provider as required. AFS Service Provider must qualify as NRVCS Medication Administration Certified.  AFS Medication Aide must qualify as Virginia Board of Nursing Registered Medication Aide.
 
  
STARTING SALARY:
  Direct Care Provider $9.99/hr (PT), $20,790/annual (FT)
                                           Service Provider $10.49/hr (PT), $21,829/annual (FT)
                                           Medication Aide $11.20/hr (PT)
