Type of Work:
Responsible for monitoring and
assisting clients in residential crisis stabilization facility.
Works with acutely mentally ill clients providing periodic safety
checks to ensure client safety and initial intervention in the event
of crisis. Takes vital signs when medical
concerns are present; must be able to identify when emergency
medical care or consultation with program medical staff is needed.
Required to document psychological and medical symptoms in client
record. Administers medications; must qualify as NRVCS Medication
Administration Certified following medication training provided.
Additional responsibilities include transporting of clients as
needed and daily facility maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
Minimum of high school education or GED
required.
Experience working with individuals with mental illness or substance
abuse preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable
driving record.
Starting Salary:
$9.70/hour (prior to agency med administration training);
$10.19/hour once training is complete
