Community Transit (Transportation Services)

Community Transit provides safe and reliable fixed route services as well as medical trips for individuals with disabilities and/or special needs.

Our service area includes Floyd, Giles, Montgomery and Pulaski counties, and the City of Radford. Our full services are available Monday - Friday with limited services available Saturdays. Because resources are limited, Community Transit services should always be considered as a last resort in order to provide maximum rider-ship space for individuals who need transportation assistance.

Community Transit currently serves contracts with Medicaid, Virginia Premier, Optimal Translation & Transportation, Radford Department of Social Services, Radford City Public Schools and New River Community Action.

Maintenance Department
Aside from servicing the New River Valley Community Services fleet of vehicles, the Community Transit maintenance department also has contracts with New River Community Action, New River Valley Senior Services and a variety of state-owned vehicles.
