offices/clinics closed for Labor Day
New River
Valley Community Services offices and clinics will be closed on
Monday, September 3 in observance of Labor Day. (This does not
include 24-hour or residential programs.) Offices and clinics will
reopen with normal business hours on Tuesday, September 4.

and Recovery Council meetings
The New River Valley Consumer Empowerment and
Recovery Council meets the third Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m. at
the Against All Odds Clubhouse in Radford (220 E. Main Street).

Support group for families
A support group for families with loved ones who
have a mental illness is currently meeting the
second Tuesday of each month at Montgomery Regional
Hospital in Blacksburg. Meetings are held in the
hospital’s board room from 7 - 8:30 p.m. The
meetings are free and open to families throughout
the New River Valley. For more information, call
