NRVCS Board of
Directors
New River Valley
Community Services (NRVCS) is governed by a 13-member
volunteer Board of Directors. NRVCS Board members are
each appointed by the respective local governing bodies
of the five jurisdictions served by the agency.
Representation on the
NRVCS Board is based on population size. Montgomery
County - the largest of the five jurisdictions - has
four seats on the board. Pulaski County is represented
by three members, while Giles and Floyd counties, and
the City of Radford, each have two seats on the NRVCS
Board.
Board members are appointed to three-year terms and can
serve a maximum of three consecutive terms.
The NRVCS Board meets the fourth Thursday of
each month, unless otherwise noted. (Note: The board does not meet in November
due to the Thanksgiving holiday.)

Mary Biggs
has been appointed to fill the unexpired
term of John Muffo as a representative of
Montgomery County, effective January 24,
2012.
Linda
Fallon has been appointed as a member of
the New River Valley Community Services
Board of Directors by the Floyd County Board
of Supervisors. Fallon joins Bill Gardner
as the two representatives for Floyd County
on the NRVCS Board.
