Pointe West Club
Based in Blacksburg,
Pointe West Club is a day support program for adults
with intellectual disabilities, serving residents from
throughout the New River Valley.
PWC members, staff enjoy a garden
party
Members and staff from Pointe West Club enjoyed a garden
party on Tuesday, June 1. Everyone enjoyed a cookout and
helped with planting items in the new flower and
vegetable gardens. The project was made possible through
support from brothers with the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity from Virginia
Tech and volunteers from Home Depot. Pi Kappa
Phi contributed $1,378 in funds and also donated
necessary labor for the project, with assistance from
Home Depot's Tony Jordan and Donnie Linkous. The project
also included construction of new picnic tables. June 1
also marks Pointe West Club's fifth anniversary!
