Garden party held in honor of volunteers
Pointe West Club (PWC) consumers, staff and
families held a garden party/cookout on April
28 to not only celebrate spring but to recognize two
groups of volunteers who have been instrumental in both
the development and continued support of the PWC garden
project.
Specifically, PWC recognized brothers with the Pi Kappa
Phi fraternity at Virginia Tech, who constructed the
garden planters and picnic tables in 2010. Pi Kappa Phi
has continued their support of the project this year
with a donation of $1,462.00.
Also recognized at the event was the Home Depot of
Christiansburg for their donation of materials and
technical assistance in design of the garden area. |
